Collections & Redistribution
An integral part of CMWD's aim to spread the joy of dance sustainably is recycling and redistributing gently used active wear, dance wear and costumes. To date with support from the education ministry and the jamacia Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) we have collected and redistributed over hundreds of items valued at close to JD 2 million and counting.

Dance & Movement Therapy Resources
We believe that dance and movement therapy can be used by teachers and guidance counselors across Jamaica to improve conflict resolution skills, mental health awareness and eventually lower in-school crime rates. If you would like to learn more, check out the material we have pulled together ofr easy reference.

Reading wid Riddim
We partner with Di Cawna Library to stage movement-based reading sessions and fun seasonal scavenger hunts We always choose books that encourage specific movements to engage the mind and body and help build literacy skills, gross and fine motor skills and build self-confidence.

Moving Minds
In partnership with Di Cawna Library, we are also working to promote literacy and numeracy skills through movement and dance by painting a series of "Moving Minds" obstacle courses at each location across the island. Each features letters, numbers, colours and shapes. We want kids to have fun learning through movement and play!
